Best strains for outdoor adventures

What we actually pack for a trailhead, a beach day and a long descent — and the one format that should never leave the car in summer.

Pick the trip, then the terpene

Every drop page prints the activities it was built for, and those lines are not decoration — they are the fastest way to choose. Match the trip first and the terpene ladder second, and you will be right more often than if you read the whole page.

Daytime and moving

Zoap leads with limonene and is the sativa in the rotation, which makes it the one we reach for before anything with elevation gain. Rainbow Guava is the hybrid version of the same idea — uplifting, creative, social — and it is the jar most likely to come out at a beach day.

Evening and stationary

Mad Honey and Moroccan Peaches are the indicas, and both are better once the walking is done. Myrcene-forward drops land heavier than the percentage suggests; start with less than you think and give it ten minutes.

The format matters more than the strain

A 2G jar is a destination format. It wants a flat surface and a bit of ceremony, and it does not want a hot car — this is the whole reason Red Rings, the all-in-one, exists. If the day involves a pack and a parking lot in the sun, take the AIO or the cart and leave the jar at home.

Find who is carrying what near your trailhead on the Find Nomad page, and read the full ladder on any drop before you commit.
